Kombucha Tea Workshop
December 15 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am AEDT
Learn to make your own Kombucha tea with Dayle. Dayle Barnett is a chemistry major with a passion for all things natural and healthful. She often has many different brews fermenting in all corners of the house and enjoys experimenting with Kombucha, Jun, kefir and ginger beer
Kombucha is an ancient fermented probiotic drink which is thought to have originated in areas of Asia and South America. It is a live culture of bacteria and yeasts which promotes good gut health and digestion. Jun tea (also called ‘the champagne of kombucha’) is a different strain to Kombucha, although they share many properties.
Mainstream kombucha is made by fermenting black tea and refined sugar at higher temperatures and for longer times than Jun.
Jun is easier to brew and (in my opinion) more nutritious and delicious!
In this workshop you’ll get to make your own jar of honey Kombucha tea to take home.
